Mountain planning and design is the historic cornerstone of SE Group.  Our unique legacy dates back to 1958 when the sport and lifestyle of alpine skiing emerged as a growing business opportunity. As the first consulting firm to focus on the planning, design and operation of ski areas, the company evolved into an internationally recognized innovator and leader in the mountain resort industry.

Since 1958 our specialists have worked on thousands of mountain resort projects throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.  These projects have given us a worldly perspective on what it takes to create enjoyable, successful, and sustainable four-season mountain resorts in a multitude of physical, environmental, cultural, and market settings.

Through our work in challenging and sensitive environments, coupled with our underlying philosophy of combining planning and design with sound business strategies, we have become experts in other complementary specialty areas such as environmental permitting, campus and urban design, recreation and athletic facility design and a diversity of resort and real estate development.
