Strategic leader. Convergent thinker. The NEPA expert’s expert.

Kent assumed leadership of SE Group in 2018, as part of a long-term succession plan. In this role, and working together with the leadership team, Kent leads the development, evolution, and growth of SE Group.

Kent brings a combination of decades of regulatory expertise and a deep understanding of the operational and strategic challenges faced by mountain resort developers and land management agencies as they navigate the complex, often highly challenging permitting processes. It is this experience that enables him to see several steps ahead and anticipate issues early in the planning process. Additionally, Kent helps clients with strategic planning and opportunity evaluation in areas such as master planning and financial/market analyses.

Experience

Kent has been with SE Group since 1996, and prior to that, spent eight years as a Ski Area Permit Administrator for the U.S. Forest Service and several seasons in a variety of mountain resort operations positions.

In addition to his work in domestic environmental permitting, Kent has managed several projects which led to the development of new international resorts in Turkey and Azerbaijan. Kent is a sought-after speaker and has addressed organizations such as CLE International, the National Ski Areas Association, the U.S. Forest Service and other industry organizations.
