Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley Resort’s original Master Plan, conceived by SE Group in 1979, laid out a detailed framework for transforming the raw property into a world-class, destination ski resort and residential community. Adherence to the original plan throughout the past 30 years of implementation has ensured continuity of design and created a common-sense, interesting, and diverse ski and resort experience. From the outset of development, resort ownership instituted strict standards and guidelines that would prevent the quality of the ski experience from being compromised by overly aggressive real estate development.

Deer Valley currently consists of four peaks for skiing. Base area skier service facilities and real estate development have evolved over the life of the resort through a network of small hamlets across the resort. The intimately sized “villages,” day lodges, and enclaves cater to day skiers and destination skiers alike and have been planned to complement the natural flow of the mountain terrain and balance with skier capacity. The quality and evolving variety of the ski lifts and terrain, coupled with industry leading guest service, has enabled Deer Valley to achieve true world-class status.

Since Joe Cushing first set foot on the mountain in the late 1970s, we've enjoyed working with the SE Group team and have appreciated their guidance in carrying out Edgar Stern's vision for skiing at Deer Valley.
