Project Description

More Projects

SE Group in conjunction with sub-consultants RRC and Partners & Sirny Architects is presently engaged in the development of a Strategic Business Plan for Hyland Ski and Snowboard Park. This facility operates under the auspices of the Three Rivers Park District, a publicly funded regional parks district. The Strategic Business Plan is designed to articulate the evolution of the ski area from a predominantly winter-oriented operation with some summer business into a true multi-season recreation destination. The Strategic Business Plan has two major components: a master plan that is based on market, site, and fiscal intelligence which illustrates and describes the programming for all future development, coupled with a 10-year financial pro-forma outlining the capital requirements, visitation and revenue potential, operating expenses, and phased implementation of all plan components.

As a publically owned and operated facility we have to be very thorough in our decision making. SE Group’s multi-season recreation planning team addressed all of our concerns and answered all of our questions. Working cooperatively with our in-house team, they have crafted a multi-season plan for Hyland that merges our unique market opportunities with an understanding of our existing customer base, the park district’s over-arching vision, and the distinctive site characteristics of the property.
