Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont

Since the early 1980s, SE Group has been working in partnership with the management team at Stowe to develop a Master Plan for modernizing the mountain and base area facilities at the resort. The Master Plan has included significant upgrades on both Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak, a gondola that connects these two portions of the resort, and a large mixed-use village development at the base of Spruce Peak.

Today, the planning, design, and implementation work has created ski to/from real estate for all lots and cabins that have outstanding views, privacy, and convenient connections with the base area development, while providing much needed beginner terrain for the mountain.

Recent projects have included the site planning, design, construction documentation and implementation for the Stowe Mountain Lodge, the Spruce Camp base lodge, new resort entry from Rte 108, and the Over Easy Lift which connects the slopes of Mt. Mansfield with the new Spruce Peak development.

Project Highlights

Spruce Camp Base Lodge

  • The new base lodge at Spruce Peak serves as the anchor to the snowfront and alpine pedestrian village.
  • The interior and exterior spaces of the base lodge were designed to serve as multi-season space for both summer and winter use—allowing conferences, weddings, and other special events.
  • The base lodge enjoys a front door connection to Mt. Mansfield base area, with access to the Over Easy gondola, which brings skiers back and forth from both sides of the resort.

SE Group has been with us every step of the way during the development of Spruce Peak. No one is better at navigating through the challenging interface between operations and development, tourism visitation and community use, day visitors and overnight guests. SE Group understands the seasonal challenges of operating a year round business with complexities that change throughout the year.
