In order to upgrade their communication system across the State of Colorado, Xcel Energy hired SE Group to complete analyses on 14 different sites occurring on both private and public lands.
This multi-site communications infrastructure project required National Environmental Policy Act reviews for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the U.S. Forest Service. Additionally, SE Group oversaw the National Historic Preservation Act–Section 106 process that is instrumental to the FCC review process. Visual analyses were prepared to illustrate the changes to the surrounding landscapes.
SE Group completed the requisite FCC documentation and notification process for sites in approximately 90 days.
