Position Priorities

As part of the Landscape Architecture team, this position will focus on creating vibrant destinations through master planning, landscape architecture design, and project management of resort and recreation-based projects. 

The key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead development of master plan and site-specific design projects from concept development through implementation
  • Facilitate on-site project meetings, design charrettes, project presentations, and stakeholder engagements
  • Manage all aspects of multiple projects at one time, including budget preparation and oversight, quality and timeliness of deliverables, and client communication
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including client relationship management, lead generation, and project proposals

Applicants are required to be licensed and to have an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.  This position is primarily designed for candidates with 6-10 years of experience in the Landscape Architecture field.  However, we remain open to other candidates who are able to demonstrate your experience serving resort or hospitality communities, entrepreneurial spirit, and design acumen.

Other required skills and experience include:

  • Excellent hand sketching skills and ability to communicate ideas graphically 
  • Proven success managing teams (scope, fee, schedule, and team needs) on small, medium, and large-sized landscape architecture projects
  • Strong construction documentation and administration experience
  • Experience contributing to project proposals, marketing, and business development
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (a plus), Adobe Suite, and 3D modeling software (a plus)
  • Irrigation design, water modeling and documentation
  • Specification writing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience leading public presentations
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Interest in leading a team and mentoring junior staff
  • Understanding of the mountain resort industry (a plus) and/or life experiences in the mountain resort industry

Note on location: Candidates that live (or can relocate) within reasonable driving distance of our Salt Lake City, Utah office will be preferred. 

 

What You Can Expect from Us

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $85,000, depending on qualifications and experience
