SE Group Collaborates with Conway, New Hampshire to Update Master Plan

Over the past two decades, Conway, New Hampshire has undergone significant transformation since its last Master Plan update. A community that once relied on heavy industry to fuel the local economy, Conway has experienced a shift towards a recreational tourism-based economy. The town serves as a gateway to the White Mountain National Forest, attracting over 6 million annual visitors, which supports the local economy but strains infrastructure such as roads and utilities and creates a challenge of accommodating its popularity as a place visit and live.

To navigate these complexities, SE Group collaborated with Conway and its stakeholders to craft a new vision encapsulated in the 2024 Conway Forward Master Plan. This plan outlines strategic goals to enhance housing availability and affordability, manage commercial development thoughtfully, promote a resilient local economy, preserve natural resources, and support cultural and recreational assets. Additionally, it emphasizes improving transportation options, municipal services, and overall community planning to sustain Conway's prosperity and quality of life.

The 2024 Conway Forward Master Plan stands as a pivotal guide for town planners, residents, and organizations, offering a roadmap to navigate growth, preserve community character, and ensure a vibrant and equitable future for Conway.
