Minnesota Discovery Center
The Minnesota Discovery Center is a non-profit museum complex that tells the story of the Iron Range and its legacy of mining. SE Group developed a master plan to enhance the facilities, offerings, and activities, while capturing additional revenue to support the center's mission.
Project Planning
We teamed with ARI, an architectural firm, who coordinated site plans with proposed building additions, including an expanded event center, a new restaurant, and a centralized entrance. The plan also includes capitalizing on the recently constructed Redhead Mountain Bike Park and proposing new outdoor amenities such as a mining-themed play area, an adventure tower with zip lines, and a bike skills area.
