Owned by the Bogus Basin Recreation Association, a 501(c)(3), Bogus Basin is a highly valued recreation resource for the Boise community. SE Group continues to work with the resort to ensure that future development plans for the facility balance the preservation of the area as a community-oriented recreation resource with the creation of a successful revenue-generating four-season destination. Projects include expanded snowmaking capacity, improved beginner terrain, upgrading of key lift infrastructure and related ski terrain improvements, additional mountain biking trails and features, the establishment of new summer activities, and the upgrading and expansion of guest services. The environs of the Simplot base area—the hub of summer activities—have been improved to make this outdoor space a more enjoyable environment for summer guests.

Bogus Basin Mountain Bike Master Plan

SE Group completed a Trails Master Plan for Bogus Basin with a focus on lift-served and cross-country mountain biking. Owned by the Bogus Basin Recreation Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the ski area is a highly valued recreation resource for the Boise community and a hub of cycling and trail recreation in the region. The Trails Master Plan explores the primary trail components needed for future development, generates purpose-built trail concepts and connections, and provides design criteria and construction guidance that will enable the sustainable evolution of the trails system. The Trails Master Plan has been crafted to seamlessly integrate with other summer recreation activities and operations at the ski area and allows Bogus Basin to leverage the immense trail-building capacity within its team of partners, while pursuing trail development in a balanced, thoughtful, and ecologically conscious manner. To offer Bogus Basin maximum value and expertise in cooperative trail planning, SE Group was excited to partner with IMBA Trail Solutions (a program of the International Mountain Bike Association) as part of our team for this project.
