Entry-Level Design Team Member to join our Burlington, Vermont office.

SE Group is a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm with office hubs in Vermont, Utah, and Colorado. Since 1958, SE Group has been an industry leader in the planning and design of mountain resorts. Over the years, our work has expanded to encompass a broad range of planning and design services for outdoor recreation, tourism, and mountain communities. Our team of landscape architects, recreation and community planners, and environmental specialists work on projects throughout the United States and abroad, where our expertise and passion for outdoor recreation and quality of life align.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative and award-winning design team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, communicative, and eager to make a difference. Candidates should be comfortable working as an essential member in a group of cooperative, open, and innovative planning and design professionals.

The successful candidate should demonstrate design excellence and an ability to effectively communicate design ideas, both graphically (digitally and by hand) and narratively. Creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking are a must! Proficiency in using design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and 3D-modeling platforms is strongly preferred. Applicants should hold a degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.

While we are operating primarily in a remote work environment, being able to meet and socialize in the same space is vital to our team dynamic. Candidates should live or be able to relocate to within reasonable driving distance of our Burlington, Vermont office hub.

Entry Level Mountain Planner/CAD Specialist 

The Salt Lake City office of  SE Group, a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm with office hubs in Utah, Vermont, and Colorado, is seeking a entry-level mountain planning team member/CAD specialist. Our team of mountain planners, landscape architects, recreation and community planners, and environmental specialists, work on projects throughout the United States and beyond. Since 1958, SE Group has led in the planning and design of mountain resorts and has expanded our portfolio in the service of outdoor recreation, tourism, and lifestyle-influenced communities.  

The successful candidate should demonstrate AutoCAD proficiency, design excellence, and the ability to effectively communicate design ideas graphicallyExamples of tasks include concept plans, site plans, grading plans, profiles and section drawings, manipulating surfaces (typically LiDAR point cloud based), 3D modelling, and preparation of various graphics for environmental analysis and master plan documents. Creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking a must.  Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD skill is required (preferably Civil3D), with experience in design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite, 3d modeling platforms, Global Mapper, Infraworks, and GPS software being desirable.  

The new team member should be within a reasonable drive-to distance of our Salt Lake CityUtah office hub. While we are still operating primarily in a remote work environment, being able to meet and collaborate in our office space is vital. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, communicative, and eager to make a difference.  Being a passionate skier or snowboarder isn’t required, but certainly helps in understanding the complexities of designing mountain resorts.

Administrative Specialist, Full-Time (Salt Lake City Office)

This multi-faceted position will be responsible for office and corporate administration systems including document management, travel coordination, contact management, tradeshow and corporate event coordination, light accounting tasks, support for graphic design, and support for marketing/business development and client projects. While we seek a candidate within driving distance of our Salt Lake City office, the position will work collaboratively with our broader national team.
