The NFF has enjoyed working closely with SE Group to advance an all lands outdoor recreation strategy in Southwest Colorado. SE Group brings expertise in planning, spatial analysis, economic analysis, community collaboration, and more, which has added tremendous value to the project. They have also dealt gracefully with many personnel transitions over the lifetime of the project, and have served as key thought partners and advisors along the way. Thank you, SE Group!

As the President of Poley Mountain Resorts, I view SE Group as a strategic partner to our enterprise. Whether it is delivering more value to our members, mitigating risk through our infrastructure investments or realizing our diversification strategy, the SE Group has played a part. We have been working together for twenty years. We have turned to SE Group at the key inflection points in our evolution. From an ownership structure change, recovering from a devastating lodge fire to our current focus on diversification, we have drawn upon the experience and talents of the SE Group.  It is a partnership that has served Poley Mountain well.

SE Group demonstrated an authentic passion for our unique open-space recreation area, reflecting a deep understanding of our unique needs and the community’s vision for this area. This resulted in a thoughtful and thorough land use plan and engineering documents for the first phase of our project that supported our efforts to secure legal agreements with several government agencies who own land within our property boundaries. We credit SE Group with the success of these critical milestones.

No one is better at navigating through the challenging interface between operations and development, tourism visitation and community use, day visitors and overnight guests. SE Group understands the seasonal challenges or operating a year-round business with complexities that change throughout the year.

SE Group’s extensive experience in environmental planning has helped bring together many partners to develop an implementation plan that is already being used to get ready for work next field season. For this project, the NEPA-permitted landscape is 75,000 acres, but the Forest and partners wanted to identify a footprint and scope of work focused on the WUI and community and infrastructure protection. SE Group helped us move from concept to an actual work plan.
