SE Group is working with the Velomont Trail and Vermont Huts Association to estimate the economic impact of the proposed trail and hut to hut network. The Velomont Trail will be a 250+ mile mountain bike trail that runs the length of Vermont. Rural economic development is at the heart of this project, as the trail is routed through towns and will encourage riders to stop and support local businesses. Similarly, the Vermont Huts Association is proposing a 30-hut network that will support the economies of nearby communities. The estimated economic impact demonstrates the value of investment in the trail and hut system.
