West Vail Area Master Plan
SE Group worked with the Town of Vail to develop a plan for the West Vail neighborhood – the predominantly “local” part in the otherwise highly tourist-oriented mountain resort community.
Project Planning
Through a robust public process and extensive land use analysis, the West Vail Master Plan recommends important zoning changes to encourage an appropriate level of housing density for the neighborhood's current and projected population. It presents three viable scenarios for redesigning the currently underutilized commercial core, featuring new opportunities for multimodal transit, additional housing units, and spaces for new businesses. In follow-up to the plan, SE Group is helping the Town implement changes to its zoning code to address the many housing issues raised during the planning process.
