Champlain College wanted to develop a campus that reflected its place in history within the hill section of Burlington, Vermont. Working with the project architect and college planning staff, SE Group helped implement portions of a campus master plan that was originally developed in the 1990s.
Key components of the site design included defining the street presence of the campus, establishing a formal campus quad allowing for passive recreation activities, and developing a series of pedestrian spaces to help enhance the outdoor experience for the college’s student body.
Recently constructed buildings, along with their strong connections to the existing campus core, offer a welcoming and inviting experience for students and community members alike.
